Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri dismissed rumours about a reduction in petrol and diesel prices, stating that the government has not initiated any discussions with state-owned oil companies regarding fuel price reduction.
Earlier, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Wednesday said that the country’s economy is getting stronger and our country is the only country in the world where petroleum products are stable. All this is happening because of the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He further said that the Red Sea route will not have any impact on the economy, but we are cautious.
If crude oil prices remain at this level, the possibility of a fall in fuel prices cannot be ruled out. The Lok Sabha elections will begin in the next three months.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will leave no stone unturned to win for the third time. Thus, the possibility of a reduction in petrol prices cannot be ruled out.
