Priyanka Chopra’s Family Leases Pune Property for Rs 1.49 Crore Over Five Years in Koregaon Park
PUNE: Madhu Chopra, mother of global actress Priyanka Chopra, and her son Siddharth Chopra have leased out a high-end property in Pune’s elite Koregaon Park locality for a total of Rs 1.49 crore over a five-year period.
According to property registration documents accessed by Square Yards via the official IGR Maharashtra website, the lease agreement was registered in February 2025. The property, spread over 4,800 sq. ft. (approx. 445.9 sq. m), has been rented out with a starting monthly rent of Rs 2.25 lakh and includes a 5% annual rent escalation clause. The rental will increase to Rs 2.73 lakh by the fifth year.
The lease agreement comes with a security deposit of Rs 13.5 lakh and includes a lock-in period of 36 months. Stamp duty and registration fees paid were Rs 39,000 and Rs 1,000 respectively.
The property was originally purchased by the Chopra family in August 2017 for Rs 5.6 crore. Based on current lease terms, the rental yield stands at 4.8% in the first year and is projected to reach 5.86% by the fifth year—indicating a sound long-term investment in one of Pune’s most sought-after localities.
Koregaon Park remains a premium destination for both commercial and residential tenants, known for its lush greenery, upscale lifestyle, and proximity to key business districts such as Kalyani Nagar and Pune Airport. The area also boasts a vibrant dining and cultural scene.
As per Square Yards’ Data Intelligence, Koregaon Park recorded 136 residential property transactions between December 2023 and December 2024, amounting to a transaction value of Rs 125 crore. The average property price as of December 2024 was Rs 17,250 per sq. ft.
