Pimpri-Chinchwad, Pune – An 18-year-old woman, Komal Jadhav, was brutally murdered late Sunday night by two youths in the Krishna Nagar area of Walhekarwadi near Pimpri-Chinchwad. The shocking incident, captured on CCTV cameras, led to swift police action, resulting in the arrest of both accused within hours.
According to police sources, the two accused, originally from Delhi, arrived on a motorcycle and called Komal outside her residence. Once she stepped out, they attacked her with sharp weapons, reportedly a knife and a sickle, leaving her dead on the spot in a pool of blood. The attackers fled the scene immediately after the assault.
The entire incident was recorded on CCTV, though the accused had worn black clothes and helmets to conceal their identities. Despite this, a joint team comprising the Chinchwad Police’s Detection Branch, Crime Squad, and Anti-Goon Squad traced and apprehended the duo within a few hours.

Initial investigation suggests that the motive behind the murder may be linked to a personal relationship. Both accused were known to Komal. Police are currently verifying whether the two had recently arrived from Delhi specifically to commit the crime or were residing locally.
The brutal nature of the attack, combined with the fact that the assailants were reportedly non-local residents, has created a wave of shock and concern in the area. Police continue to interrogate the suspects for further details and motive behind the killing.
