How the Accident Happened

The Maximo van, driven by Vinod Rokde, was carrying 16 passengers from Alephata to Narayangaon. At around 9:45 AM, the van was hit from behind by a speeding Eicher tempo near Muktai Dhaba. The impact pushed the van into a stationary State Transport (ST) bus on the roadside. Eyewitnesses reported that the van was crushed from both ends due to the double collision, worsening the severity of the accident.

The police are investigating the incident further.
