Pune, December 3, 2025; Passengers at Pune Airport faced major disruption early Tuesday morning after several IndiGo flights were abruptly cancelled, leaving hundreds stranded for hours without clear communication. Many travellers took to social media to express frustration and demand intervention from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

One passenger appealed to the DGCA to enforce full refunds, penalise IndiGo for violating Civil Aviation Requirements (CAR) related to missed connections and passenger care, and ensure proper rebooking. “No passenger should go through this,” the flyer said, calling the airline’s ground staff “misleading.”

Another traveller shared that they woke up at 2.30 am, reached the airport by 3.30 am, completed security checks by 4.15 am—only to discover by 4.30 am that multiple IndiGo flights had been cancelled without prior notice.

Confusion deepened when a passenger heading to Delhi reported being told at the airport that their flight was cancelled, only to later receive a message stating it was merely delayed until 11.30 am. “What’s the real status here?” the passenger questioned.

The sudden cancellations and inconsistent updates have intensified demands for stricter regulatory action and improved passenger care standards from the airline.
