Pune based Spread Happiness Foundation Takes Health Awareness to Odisha's Tribal Heartland

Pune, Maharashtra: In a significant stride towards community health, the renowned NGO, Spread Happiness Foundation, hailing from Maharashtra, Pune, extended its philanthropic arm to the tribal district of Kandhamala in Odisha.

 The foundation successfully organized a comprehensive health awareness camp in the Chakapada block of Kandhamala district, held at Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati Ashram.

The health camp garnered substantial participation, with hundreds of women, including college students and schoolgirls, actively engaging in the informative sessions. Noteworthy cooperation came from esteemed social worker Subhakakanta Nayak and Ashram Swami Krishnananda Ji, who collaborated to ensure the camp’s success.

Founder Chairman Soumya Ranjan spearheaded the awareness campaign, shedding light on general hygiene practices crucial for combating cervical cancer, breast cancer, and maintaining menstrual hygiene. The event saw active involvement from senior citizens, local women, and elected representatives, including Panchyat Samit Sabhya.

The interactive session proved to be a platform for many college students to seek clarifications on various health-related issues. The local community commended the organization for bringing such a crucial awareness camp from Maharashtra to Odisha, reaching the heart of a tribal village.

Elected representatives acknowledged the importance of such initiatives in fostering health consciousness in tribal areas. Founder Chairman Mr. Soumya Ranjan affirmed the organization’s commitment to conducting similar programs in the upcoming days, further amplifying awareness in tribal regions of Odisha.
