Baghtoy Rickshawala Association, cab & auto rickshaw association in Pune, says that permission to carry out protests & agitations is given to others but not them.

As per further information shared by Dr Keshav Kshirsagar, President, Baghtoy Rickshawala Association, the association was denied permission to protest on the grounds of 10th grade & 12th grade exams. But, if the teachers have taken to the streets and protested for their rights, why are the cab drivers & workers denied permission to protest?

Today, 7/3/2024, at the Secondary and Higher Secondary Office at Lal Deul, Camp, the teachers themselves staged a protest during the examination time.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Dr Keshav Kshirsagar, President, Baghtoy Rickshawala Association, said “We have a simple question. Why are we denied permission to carry out protests if others can be allowed to do the same? We are not against anyone protesting or fighting for their rights. But if others are getting permission to protest etc, why aren’t we? Law must be equal for everyone. If such discrimination is happening, it is absolutely wrong & needs to be raised further.”

Dr Keshav Kshirsagar further said that they will raise a complaint about this to the Deputy CM & CM of Maharashtra.
