The Council of Presidents of Pune (PUNE COPS) of International Inner Wheel recently inaugurated solar heater panels for Sathe Sai village, marking a significant step towards improving basic amenities in the area. Led by Mrs. Smita Pingale, the Founder of PUNE COPS, along with Mrs. Rachana Malpani, District Chairman of District 313, and other esteemed members including PP Daljeet Kaur Raizada, COPS Convenor, P Shrunali, P Snehal, P Purnima, P Sakshi and Mrs. Roshan Chindhy, the initiative aimed to address the village’s pressing needs.

PUNE COPS generously donated four solar water heater panels to Sathe Sai village, with a total cost amounting to Rs 3,00,000. During the inauguration, Sarpanch Hanumant Sathe expressed gratitude for the initiative, emphasizing the importance of such projects in uplifting rural communities.

Mrs. Pingale reiterated PUNE COPS’ commitment to transforming Sathe Sai into a happy village by addressing its most basic amenities. Among the challenges highlighted were the lack of nearby schools, forcing children to walk long distances, and the absence of essential facilities like proper heating systems.

In addition to the solar panels, PUNE COPS pledged to provide bicycles to the children, making their journey to school more convenient. This initiative underscores the organization’s dedication to enhancing the quality of life for villagers in Sathe Sai and beyond.
