Pune Division of Indian Railways Announces 88 Special Trains for Diwali And Chhath Festival

Additional trains to ease travel during Diwali and Chhath festivals.

In response to the surge in passenger traffic expected during the Diwali and Chhath festivals, the Pune Division of Indian Railways has unveiled plans to operate 88 special trains. These trains are set to run on multiple routes, providing connectivity between Pune and key destinations including Hazrat Nizamuddin, Nagpur, Danapur, Gorakhpur, and Sawantwadi.

The initiative aims to accommodate the increased number of travelers during the festive season, ensuring a smoother and more convenient journey for passengers.

 Below are the details of the special trains

Pune-Hazrat Nizamuddin-Pune Superfast Specials (4 Trips)

Train No. 01491: Pune to Hazrat Nizamuddin Weekly Superfast Special departs Pune at 17:30 hrs on October 25 and November 1, 2024, arriving at Hazrat Nizamuddin at 19:00 hrs the next day.

Train No. 01492: Hazrat Nizamuddin to Pune Weekly Superfast Special departs Hazrat Nizamuddin at 22:10 hrs on October 26 and November 2, 2024, reaching Pune at 22:30 hrs the next day.

Stops: Lonavala, Kalyan, Vasai Road, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Bhawanimandi, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, and Mathura.

Details: 22 ICF Coaches including 1 AC-2 Tier, 4 AC-3 Tier, 11 Sleeper Class, 6 General Second Class, and 2 Luggage cum Guard’s Brake Van.

Pune-Nagpur-Pune Superfast Weekly Specials (6 Trips)

Train No. 01209: Nagpur to Pune Superfast Weekly Special departs Nagpur at 19:40 hrs on Saturdays from October 26 to November 9, 2024, arriving in Pune at 11:25 hrs the next day.

Train No. 01210: Pune to Nagpur Superfast Weekly Special departs Pune at 15:50 hrs on Sundays from October 27 to November 10, 2024, arriving in Nagpur at 06:30 hrs the next day.

Stops: Uruli, Daund Chord Line, Ahmednagar, Belapur, Kopargaon, Manmad, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Shegaon, Akola, Badnera, Dhamangaon, and Wardha.
