Pune: Husband Arrested For Allegedly Injuring Wife’s Private Parts With Screws And Lock
A disturbing case has emerged in Pimpri Chinchwad, where a husband, suspicious of his 28-year-old wife’s character, allegedly assaulted her. Not only did he attack her, but he also attempted to ‘lock’ her private parts using iron screws and a lock, resulting in serious injuries. This disturbing incident occurred in Wakad on 11th May around 10 PM.
The victim, displaying remarkable courage, has filed a complaint with the Wakad Police Station. The police have arrested the accused man (30), a resident of Wakad. The complainant sustained severe injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Pimpri Chinchwad.
According to police reports, on the night of 11th May, the accused returned home and began arguing with his wife, casting suspicions on her character. He then proceeded to use a blade to make cuts on her private parts, issuing life-threatening threats. Subsequently, he retrieved a knife from the kitchen and, under the threat of this weapon, bound his wife’s hands and legs with a cloth.
Following this, he punctured holes near her private parts, inserted screws, and ‘locked’ them with a copper lock. As a result of these actions, the wife sustained serious injuries and was admitted to the hospital, where she reported the incident to the police.
The Wakad Police have filed a case against the accused under IPC Sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 506 (2) (criminal intimidation if the threat is to cause death or grievous hurt, etc.). Police Sub-Inspector from the Wakad Police Station is currently conducting further investigations into this matter.
Speaking to Pune Pulse, Balaji Mete, Police Inspector said that the incident took place on May 11. The woman didn’t inform anyone and kept it a secret. When things turned violent and cruel she disclosed it to her sister in law. She filed a complaint on May 16. She is undergoing treatment at a citybased hospital now and further legal action would be taken.
