Pune, July 2, 2026: The Pune Police have demolished an allegedly illegal hotel in the Sinhgad Campus area that was reportedly linked to a wanted accused in an organised crime case registered under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).

According to a statement issued by the Bharati Vidyapeeth Police Station, the action was taken in connection with Crime Register No. 119/2026. The demolished establishment, identified as Matoshri Hotel, allegedly served as a financial source for wanted accused Manoj Padule and his gang.

Police said the hotel, located in the Sinhgad Campus area of Pune, was operating illegally and had emerged as a crime hotspot, with repeated criminal incidents reported from the premises.

Authorities stated that the demolition was carried out using a bulldozer as part of efforts to curb criminal activities and prevent further offences in the area.

Senior Police Inspector Mansing Patil said the action was aimed at dismantling the infrastructure allegedly supporting organised crime and improving law and order in the locality.
