Pune: Kalepadal Police Apprehends Juvenile For Theft Of Two Bikes And 17 Mobile Phones Worth ₹4.17 Lakh
Pune, August 27, 2025 – Pune City Police, Kalepadal Police Station, have apprehended a juvenile in conflict with the law for stealing two two-wheelers and 17 mobile phones worth ₹4,17,500.
The case was registered under BNS Sections 305(A) and 331(4) at Kalepadal Police Station (Crime Register No. 195/2025). Police officer Pratik Lahigude conducted a technical analysis of the stolen mobile phones, which led to the location being traced to Tarwadevasti, Mohammadwadi, Pune.
A team comprising police officials Laxman Kale, Vishal Thombre, Mahadev Shinde, and Nitin Dhole searched the area and apprehended the juvenile with two stolen mobile phones. A subsequent search near his house revealed two two-wheelers and a white bag attached to a moped, containing 15 mobile phones of different brands.
Upon interrogation, the juvenile confessed to stealing the items along with two accomplices from the Kalepadal and Bharati Vidyapeeth areas, while the two-wheelers were stolen from Rastapeth and Handewadi localities.
The seized property amounts to ₹4.17 lakh, and further investigation is ongoing to trace the accomplices and link other pending cases.
The operation was carried out under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 5) Rajkumar Shinde, Assistant Commissioner of Police Dhanyakumar Godse, Senior Police Inspector Manasing Patil, and Crime Inspector Amar Kalange, Assistant Police Inspector Amit Shete, Police Constables Pravin Kalbhor, Dawood Sayyed, Pratik Lahigude, Shrikrishna Khokale, Vishal Thombre, Shahid Sheikh, Laxman Kale, Nitin Shinde, Atul Pandharkar, Nitin Dhole, Saddam Tamboli, Pradeep Bediskar, and Mahadev Shinde.
