In a significant development, MLA Siddharth Shirole and the Pune Metro authorities announced that the Shivajinagar ST station, relocated due to metro work, will soon be restored to its original site. This decision follows a meeting between Shirole, Pune Metro officials and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar at Circuit House, where they discussed the station’s relocation.

Shirole requested Pawar to expedite the process, and the Deputy Chief Minister promptly spoke with Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik. Subsequently, Pawar directed Maha Metro to accelerate the relocation work. The agreement between Maharashtra State Transport Corporation (ST) and Maha Metro regarding the relocation project is nearing completion, with Maha Metro set to finalize the work .

The Shivajinagar ST station was temporarily relocated in 2019 to accommodate the MahaMetro project, causing inconvenience to passengers. The station’s return to its original location is expected to improve transportation facilities and enhance the overall commuting experience .
