Pune Metro’s third phase Ruby Hall to Ramwadi is set to be completed by November 2023

Pune: The metro connectivity in the city is likely to expand further as officials of Pune Metro have planned the completion of the third phase of the Ruby Hall to Ramwadi section for November this year. Notably, the first and second phases of the Pune Metro have already been inaugurated, providing much-needed relief for local commuters.

Consequently, there is a growing demand for the prompt working of the third and fourth phases to further benefit passengers. As per the information received, on March 6, 2023, the first phase was inaugurated, which covers a 5-kilometer distance from Vanaz to Garware College including stations Vanaz, Anand Nagar, Ideal Colony, Nal Stop, and Garware College. Following this, the second phase was inaugurated on August 1, 2023, encompassing a 4.7-kilometre distance from Garware College to Ruby Hall station. This section includes Deccan Gymkhana, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Garden, PMC, Civil Court, Mangalwar Peth (RTO) and Ruby Hall Clinic.

The Fugewadi to Civil Court stretch spans a distance of 6.9 kilometres and includes stations at Fugewadi, Dapodi, Bopodi, Khadki, Range Hill, Shivaji Nagar, and Civil Court.

While talking to Pune Pulse Hemant Sonawane, the Public Relations Officer of Pune Metro, added, “The third phase, which runs from Ruby Hall to Ramwadi, covers a distance of 6 kilometres including stations at Bund Garden Road, Yerawada, Kalyani Nagar, and Ramwadi. This phase is set to be completed by November 2023. Lastly, the fourth phase, which connects Civil Court to Swargate, includes stations Budhwar Peth and Swargate, and is expected to be ready by February 2024.”
