A 12-year-old girl named Ovee Pradeep Rakshe, who had left her home in Nanded city due to a disagreement with her parents, was finally found safe in Ranjangaon. The incident sparked a massive search operation led by Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, who personally entered Wagholi at 10:30 PM to locate her.

The girl had left home around 2 PM, prompting her parents to launch a frantic search. Her photo was widely circulated on social media, thanks to efforts by individuals like Shivbhau Pasalkar, contributing to the community’s awareness of her disappearance. At around 8 PM, a young man spotted her in Wagholi and alerted the authorities.

It was later discovered that she had eaten vada pav on the Maharashtra Vada Pav stall at Kesnand phata before continuing her journey. She was then brought to Wagholi in a rickshaw driven by Laxman Khaire. Despite being questioned by the authorities, she insisted on waiting for her father, prompting the rickshaw driver to drop her off at the bus station.

Upon learning of the girl’s disappearance, Commissioner Amitesh Kumar swiftly mobilized the Pune police force to intensify the search efforts. Eventually, she was located safe in Ranjangaon. Senior Police Inspector Kailas Kare from Lonikand Police Station was dispatched to bring her back.

Following confirmation from both the Commissioner of Police and her mother via a video call that she was safe in Ranjangaon, Commissioner Kumar concluded the operation and returned. The successful resolution of the case underscored the importance of swift and coordinated efforts in ensuring the safety of missing individuals.
