Pune: Mohamadwadi–Undri Residents Join Hands For Green Future With Mega Plantation Drive
Pune, November 19, 2025: Members of the Mohamadwadi Undri Residents Welfare Development Foundation actively participated in a large-scale tree plantation drive held at Anandvan 5 in Autade Handewadi. The initiative took place near the Neco Beaumont Society, close to Delhi Public School, and witnessed strong community involvement.
The event was organised to promote environmental conservation and restore green cover in the rapidly developing Mohamadwadi area. Residents of all age groups came together with a shared commitment to improving the local ecosystem. The event was organised in Reserve forest area with support of the forest department in Autadewadi Handewadi. The drive was led by Anandvan Foundation.
More than 150 volunteers dedicated their time and effort, reflecting the growing awareness and responsibility towards nature. Their enthusiastic participation added a strong sense of community spirit to the drive.
During the initiative, over 500 saplings of native and environment-friendly species were planted. These young plants are expected to play a crucial role in enriching biodiversity and improving air quality in the region.
Members of the foundation emphasised that such consistent efforts are essential for creating a healthier and greener neighbourhood. The successful turnout has encouraged plans for more community-led environmental actions in the near future.
