Pune: Mahesh Landge, Bharatiya Janata Party member and Member of the Legislative Assembly on Thursday informed that the process to prepare a Detailed Project Report(DPR) for the Pune Nashik Expressway has begun and is most likely to be completed within the next 8 to 10 months.

The 180 km expressway is expected to reduce the travel time between Nashik and Pune to 2 hours from the present 4 to 5 hours. It will connect the MSRDC’s proposed Pune Ring Road project at Chimbali to Shinde on National Highway 60. The expressway will pass through three districts Nashik, Ahmednagar and Pune.

Landge also informed that the preliminary groundwork for the survey is completed by Monarch Surveyors and Engineering Consultants Pvt Ltd and the DPR for the 6-lane Access Controlled Greenfield Expressway has begun.
