PUNE: The National Lok Adalat is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 9, 2023, in all district courts as per the directives of the National Legal Services Authority in New Delhi and the Maharashtra State Legal Services Authority in Mumbai.

A significant number of cases from various areas, including civil, criminal, motor accident compensation, Section 138 negotiable instruments act, land acquisition, family matters, industrial, labour, cooperative court cases, job wages, allowances, retirement benefits, revenue-related matters pending in district courts and high courts, as well as other cases, will be addressed.

Additionally, pre-registration cases from various banks, credit institutions, and financial institutions, as well as from various gram panchayats, municipal corporations, and municipal councils, and pending payments from Maharashtra State Electricity Corporation, etc., will be resolved.

As per the information provided, settlement of the case in the people’s court fosters a feeling of triumph for both parties involved and offers cost, time, and labour savings. There is no fee associated with maintaining the case and the court’s decision cannot be appealed. According to the court’s ruling, the judgment rendered in the People’s Court can be enforced by the court itself. Consequently, Sonal S Patil, Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, encourages the parties to seize the opportunity presented by this program.
