Pune: New Bus Service From Yewalewadi to Deccan Gymkhana Via Kondhwa Launched
Pune: Persistent efforts to improve connectivity between the Kondhwa area and Pune’s central zones have finally paid off. Under the guidance of MLA Yogesh Tilekar, the much-awaited PMPML Bus Route 101, from Yewalewadi to Deccan Gymkhana via Kondhwa has been launched.
“The inauguration of this improved route took place at Shri Bhairavnath Mandir in Kondhwa Khurd, with local residents participating in the ceremony. The bus service is expected to benefit daily wage workers, office-goers, and students, providing them with a convenient and time-saving travel option to Pune’s central government offices, educational institutions, and hospitals,” said Akshay Shinde, General Secretary, Hadapsar Legislative Assembly, Bharatiya Janata Party.
PMPML officials present at the event included Naik and Hendre, along with bus driver Handal and conductor Khatate, who were felicitated by the residents. The initiative was warmly welcomed by the community, with many expressing relief at the improved public transport link.
The inauguration also saw participation from Mahayuti leaders, office-bearers, and prominent citizens of Kondhwa Khurd, alongside a large turnout of local residents. This new service marks a significant step in addressing long-pending transportation needs of the area.
