A 12-year-old girl has decided to take action against the garbage depot near her school, which poses a constant threat of causing diseases such as vector-borne and food poisoning. She has taken it upon herself to call for a protest, all by herself, in order to solve this serious issue.

Ankita Sawant, a 7th-grade student at Vikas Vidyalaya in Kunjirwadi, Haveli tehsil, initiated a protest on Friday morning. She demanded that the Gram Panchayat authorities take notice of the disturbance and relocate the depot away from her school without delay.

Notably, the teachers and residents of Kunjirwadi have also shown their solidarity by offering their support to Ankita.

As per the information provided, adverse effects garbage has on the health of residents and students is severe.  As a student, she emphasized the need for a clean environment and urged the Gram Panchayat to relocate the depot away from their school.
