Pune : South Main Road residents of Koregaon Park demand PMPML bus service finally accomplished

Pune: Residents of South Main Road, Kavadevadi, Miranagar etc in Koregaon Park have been demanding the resumption of PMPML bus service from their area for a long time. Many residents and public representatives have been making utmost efforts for this service. Finally, the bus service for these areas commenced on a trial basis from December 1, 2023.

As per further information shared by Dhairyashil Vandekar, President of Vithalrao Vandekar Foundation & resident of Koregaon Park, bus route number 160, originally operating from Shaniwar Wada to Mundhwa, Manjari Budruk, has now been rerouted to operate via Saint Mira’s College, Sant Gadge Maharaj School, Shahu Modak Garden, Kawdewadi and Mira Nagar.

The bus service on this route was inaugurated on Friday by Vithalrao Vandekar Foundation President Dhairyashil Vandekar. Vandekar thanked social worker Nilesh Mantri on behalf of the citizens for his continuous follow-up and efforts to start the bus service.

Vandekar said that the starting of the bus service will greatly facilitate the residents, students and workers living especially in Rajiv Gandhi Vasahat, Sant Gadge Maharaj Vasahat, Darode Mala, Madari Vasti, Kavdevadi etc. Vandekar appealed to the residents to ensure that this bus service, which started after a long time, receives a good response so that the service will continue uninterrupted in the future as well.

On this occasion, former corporator Mangala Mantri, social worker Nilesh Mantri, Prakash Mantri, Narendra Darode, Mauli Darwadkar, Aaba Kawade, Santosh Mate, Gode, Anizia D’Souza and local residents as well as Chandrashekhar Kadam, Sunil Darge and Vijay More were present on behalf of PMPML.
