Pune News : 4,000 posters removed in Pimpri Chinchwad ahead of by-polls

In view of the forthcoming Chinchwad by-polls, the election department’s code of conduct cell took action against 4,000 posters, banners and other flex in the city. The information was announced by Sachin Dhole, election officer.

The Chinchwad bypolls are scheduled for February 26. Presently, the model code of conduct is in place. The Election Officer has set up various sections to keep an eye on various election related activities and also curb any violation of model code of conduct.

275 posters, 174 banners, 3724 flags and boards, a total of 4173 banners were removed from public places. A single window has been set up for candidates for easy facilitation for election process. Till February 16, 2023, nine sabhas have been permitted, while 18 rallies and processions, 95 vehicle licenses, 11 temporary party office permits and 33 advertising boards. Cvigil app has received 12 complaints till now regarding violation of code of conduct.
