In a troubling incident in Hadapsar, an 80-year-old woman has reported the theft of gold and silver ornaments valued at Rs 9 lakhs by her caretaker. The complainant, residing in Magarpatta, lodged a report at the Hadapsar police station, revealing that the caretaker, Sunil Jagtap, a resident of Mukundwadi in Sambhaji Nagar, has disappeared with the valuable items and other important documents.

According to the police, the elderly woman entrusted Jagtap with the care of her home and valuables. However, she discovered that the caretaker had absconded with the jewelry and essential documents. Authorities have launched a search for Jagtap, who is now a prime suspect in the case.

The theft has raised significant concerns about the reliability of individuals entrusted with personal and valuable assets. The Hadapsar police are actively investigating the case to recover the stolen items and apprehend the suspect. This incident underscores the need for vigilance and thorough background checks when hiring caretakers.
