Pune News: Fire Breaks Out At Joshi Wada In Ghorpade Peth; No Casualties Reported
In the early hours of October 17, 2024, at 3:47 AM, a fire broke out at Joshi Wada, near Panchhaud Tower in Ghorpade Peth. The fire affected a ground-plus-two-floor residential structure with a metal sheet roof.
The Pune Fire Brigade responded with five fire engines and two water tankers (two fire engines and two water tankers from headquarters, along with one each from Kasba, Erandwane, and Gangadham fire stations).Â
The blaze engulfed five houses and a small shop within Joshi Wada. Additionally, a significant stock of clothes stored on the upper floors was destroyed in the fire.
Firefighters contained the flames by spraying water from all sides. Fortunately, there were no injuries or casualties reported in the incident. During the rescue operation, two gas cylinders were safely removed from the premises. The exact cause of the fire remains unknown at this time, and an investigation is underway to determine the origin of the blaze.
