Pune News: Maid Poisons Family From Nigdi, Escapes With ₹16.2 Lakh Worth Of Jewelry And Cash
A maid, along with her accomplices, poisoned the tea and coffee with sedatives to render the homeowners unconscious, enabling them to steal jewelry and cash worth ₹16.2 lakh. The incident occurred in Nigdi Pradhikaran.
The victim, Devendra Gumanmal Lunkad (67), lodged a complaint at the Nigdi Police Station. A case has been registered against the maid, identified only as Anamika, and three of her accomplices.
Anamika worked as a domestic help at the Lunkad household. She and her accomplices served sedative-laced tea and coffee to the homeowner’s son and daughter-in-law, leaving them unconscious. They then made away with gold ornaments and cash amounting to ₹16.2 lakh. Police are investigating the case.
