Pune News: Mont Vert Vivant Society In Wakad Launches 45kW Solar Project, Eyes ₹12 Lakh Annual Savings
Pune | Wakad, July 14, 2025: Mont Vert Vivant Cooperative Housing Society in Wakad has taken a big step towards sustainable living with the launch of its 45kW solar power project. The inauguration ceremony, held on the society terrace, was attended by Honourable Mrs. Sneha Ranjit Kalate as the chief guest.
The project was executed under the guidance of Sunil Thakare, Director of Maharashtra Solar Energy Systems, using high-efficiency Adani solar panels. With this installation, the society expects to save around ₹1 lakh per month on electricity bills, amounting to ₹12 lakh annually.
“This project is not just about saving money but also about making our community energy-independent and eco-friendly,” said Chairman Nilay Deshpande. Secretary Santosh Mane, Treasurer Atul Kirange, and committee member Sagar Paste highlighted how the initiative will benefit both the environment and residents in the long run.
The project draws inspiration from the PM Surya Ghar Yojana and is likely to receive subsidies under the scheme.
Residents celebrated the occasion with an inauguration event followed by refreshments, expressing pride in the society’s move towards green energy.
