Pune, Daund | March 25 – A shocking incident has come to light in Daund city, where 10 to 12 newborns were found stuffed in plastic containers and dumped in the garbage in the Boravke Nagar area. The discovery has caused an uproar in the city, and the police have launched an investigation into the matter.

According to reports, the Daund police were alerted about the abandoned infants on Tuesday. Upon receiving the information, officials, including Sub-Divisional Police Officer Bapurao Dadas, Assistant Police Inspector Nagnath Patil, and Police Sub-Inspector Yuvraj Ghodke, reached the scene. Doctors from the sub-district hospital were also called in for examination.

Possible Illegal Abortion Racket

Police suspect the involvement of an illegal abortion center operating in the area. Investigators are gathering evidence to identify those responsible for this heinous act.

Supriya Sule Demands Action

Reacting to the incident, Baramati MP Supriya Sule expressed outrage on social media platform X, stating,
“The incident of throwing infants in the garbage in the Boravke Nagar area near Daund city has come to light. This is a very heinous act, and it is necessary to immediately investigate the matter and take strict action against those responsible. It is requested that the District Collector of Pune take personal notice of this matter and ensure action is taken.”
