Pune Drone Light Show Shifted To September 17
Pune, September 15, 2025: The much-anticipated drone light show, organised by Union Minister Murlidhar Mohol to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, has been rescheduled due to rainfall.
Originally planned for September 16, the event will now take place on September 17 at 8 pm at S.P. College Ground, coinciding with Modi’s 75th birthday celebrations.
As part of the celebrations, several programs were lined up, including Maharashtra’s first-ever drone light show and a live concert by singer Avdhoot Gupte. Both events, initially scheduled for September 16, were postponed following heavy showers and the forecast of more rain.
Union Minister Mohol confirmed that Avdhoot Gupte’s live concert will now be held on September 17 from 6 pm to 8 pm, followed by the spectacular drone show from 8 pm to 9 pm. Highlighting the scale of the event, he said, “This will be the first grand drone show in Maharashtra after Ayodhya and Varanasi. With 1,000 drones flying simultaneously, Punekars will experience a breathtaking display of technology. The show will showcase Maharashtra’s pride along with the vision of a developed India envisioned by Prime Minister Modi.”

To ensure smooth arrangements despite weather challenges, necessary preparations have been made at the venue. Organisers assured that every effort is being taken to avoid inconvenience to citizens. The event at S.P. College Ground will be open for the public to witness the unique celebration.
