Pune: There is some good news for Punekars travelling in Pune Metro as they no longer have to wait at any counters at the Pune Metro station to get their tickets. They can now book metro tickets easily as Pune Metro announces a WhatsApp number for everyone.
Speaking to Pune Pulse, Dr Hemant Sonawane, Executive Director, Public Relations and Administration, Pune Metro said, “The service of online booking through our website has been going on since the inception of Pune Metro. Now, people can book tickets from their WhatsApp number. We are raising this awareness amongst people as new metro stations will be inaugurated on August 1.”
As per information from the official Twitter handle of Pune Metro, people may save time and energy on their commute by using the new contactless ticket-buying service. To book a ticket, people can simply say ‘Hi’ on the WhatsApp chat.
