Pune, August 29: Due to the Somvati Yatra of Shri Khandoba Temple in Jejuri, Purandar Taluka, on September 2, District Collector Dr. Suhas Divase has issued orders to modify the traffic to prevent congestion and maintain law and order.

To avoid traffic jams, heavy and other vehicles will be prohibited on the Pune-Jejuri-Baramati highway from 5 AM to midnight on September 2, and will be redirected to alternative routes.

In the Jejuri Police Station jurisdiction, heavy and other vehicles heading towards Pune from Satara, Phaltan, Lonand, and Baramati through Jejuri-Saswad will be completely banned and redirected via Neera-Morgaon-Supa to Kedgaon Chouphula, then to Pune via the Solapur highway. 

On the Jejuri-Belsar Phata route, traffic from Pune towards Baramati will be completely banned and redirected via Belsar-Kothale-Nazare-Supe-Morgaon to Baramati, Phaltan, and Satara.

In the Supa Police Station jurisdiction, all traffic from Baramati and Neera towards Pune via Jejuri will be completely stopped and redirected via Morgaon-Supa-Kedgaon Chouphula to Pune via the Solapur highway.

In the Saswad Police Station jurisdiction, heavy vehicles heading towards Satara-Phaltan via Jejuri from Pune will be completely banned and redirected via Saswad-Narayanpur-Kapurhol towards Satara-Phaltan or via Saswad-Veer Phata-Parinche-Veer-Wathar Colony towards Lonand.

The traffic restrictions will be relaxed for vehicles of devotees attending the ‘Somvati Yatra’ of Shri Khandoba Temple on September 2. Citizens are requested to take note of these changes and cooperate accordingly.
