Pune News : Traffic Congestion on Baner Sus Road Set to Ease Soon

Pune:  After receiving numerous complaints regarding traffic issues, Baner – Balewadi – Pashan Corporator Amol Balwadkar and Hinjewadi Traffic Assistant Police Inspector Ganesh Pawar visited the VIBGYOR school area where there is no space for parents to drop their children due to which they stop their vehicles on the road that causes traffic problems.

Additionally, they also surveyed the areas where people from societies like Saarrthi Souvenir, Orchid Society, Yashwin Jeevan, Yashwin Anand, Nilanchal, My Nest, and Sanjeevan complained regarding the Baner Sus traffic. 

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Ganesh Pawar, Assistant Police Inspector, Hinjewadi Traffic Division said, “There is already a no parking board on the road. Also, there is no dedicated parking space for parents to drop their children in VIBGYOR School due to which parents have to park their vehicles on the roads which leads to traffic congestion. Hence, a discussion with the school principal was held where solutions were discussed. The school has promised to have an integrated space in the school premises for parents to drop their children.”

Amol Balwadkar, Corporator, Baner Balewadi Pashan informed, “Accordingly, the school administration has been asked to reduce traffic congestion on this road by using an integrated driveway within the school premises for parents to drop their kids. The principal of the school has assured that this measure will be implemented soon. Traffic barriers will also be installed on the main road in front of the school soon. A plan regarding that has also been made. The school principal has assured that by implementing the said measures in the next 5-6 days, all the citizens of this area will definitely be freed from the traffic jam.”
