Pune | June 7, 2025 — Pune Municipal Commissioner Naval Kishore Ram has issued a ban on BJP office bearers Omkar Kadam and Akshay Kamble, restricting them from entering the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) premises. The action follows a complaint filed by a woman officer from PMC’s health department, who alleged misconduct and disruption by the duo.

In a circular issued on Friday, the commissioner directed security personnel to prevent Kadam and Kamble from entering the premises and to file a police complaint if they are found violating the order. The restriction will remain in effect until further notice.

The female official had initially lodged a complaint with PMC in February and later approached the state women’s commission in May, citing repeated disturbances and alleged harassment at the workplace. A team from the commission visited the PMC office on Thursday to investigate the matter.

According to the complainant, the BJP leaders frequently created a ruckus within the office without prior permission, used abusive language, and were occasionally accompanied by individuals with criminal backgrounds.

Reacting to the ban, Omkar Kadam held a press conference on Friday, denying the allegations. “I have video footage of all the protests I participated in. I did not use any foul language or misbehave,” he claimed.

Kadam further alleged that the complaint was a retaliatory move against him for highlighting corruption in medical schemes at the PMC. “The officer is making false accusations because I exposed irregularities in health-related schemes,” he stated.

The matter remains under review by the municipal authorities and the women’s commission.
