The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has completed a survey aimed at implementing a 40% property tax exemption for self-use residential properties in various areas of the city. The survey was conducted in Vadgaon Dhayari, Vadgaon Budruk, and Hingane on a pilot basis from June 19, 2024, to August 15, 2024. To facilitate this survey, PMC’s encroachment department deployed 75 encroachment inspectors and 75 clerk typists from different departments. Additionally, divisional and Peth inspectors distributed PT3 forms door-to-door to gather information from residents.
The survey covered a total of 4,50,135 property holders, out of which 2,29,379 were identified as having residential use. Among these, 2,16,506 properties were used by tenants.
