Pune: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has removed encroachments near Hotel Vaishali & Queen Shop on Fergusson College Road (FC Road) in Pune on Wednesday.
As per information shared by Sunil Kadam, Deputy Engineer, PMC Zone 6, the action was taken by the Construction Development Department of PMC Zone 6 at Hotel Vaishali and Queen’s Shop on FC Road at Shivajinagar area in Pune.
Around 3500 square feet of unauthorized construction was demolished this time. These include sheds constructed with bamboo, Patra etc. With the help of iron instruments, oning, and more, all the unauthorized sheds were removed. At this time, the movable sheds were also cut with gas cutters.
The operation was carried out under the guidance of Deputy Engineer Sunil Kadam, Executive Engineer Bipin Shinde, Branch Engineer Rahul Rasale, Junior Engineer Samir Gadhai, one gas cutter with the help of 10 officials from Encroachment Department, one Police Group E completed the operation.
The action will continue further and if the shed is erected again, informed Kadam.
