The locals have expressed that just like Ashadiwari, the civic body should provide facilities like mobile toilets and CCTV at various places.

As per information, with Ganeshotsav only 15 days away, mandals have already started preparations. The Peths area has a large number of mandals, attracting devotees from across the state who come for darshan and to witness the festivities. However, due to insufficient toilet facilities, both men and women suffer.

Additionally, the issue of increasing dirt along the main roads and lanes during the festival was raised by activists. During Ashadhiwari, the city arranges for toilets as lakhs of pilgrims stay for two days. Activists have demanded similar arrangements for Ganeshotsav.

The majority of mandals in the city fall within the Kasba-Vishram Bagh and Bhawani Peth zonal office limits. Areas such as Shivaji Road, Nehru Road, Lakshmi Road, Bajirao Road, Tilak Road, Kumthekar Road, Kelkar Road, Phadke Houd Chowk, Shaniwarwada, and others are crowded with devotees. It is crucial for the Municipal Corporation to keep these areas clean by regularly cleaning them and providing toilet facilities.
