Pune city police carried out an extensive traffic enforcement drive on Saturday night, inspecting 2,853 vehicles across 78 key locations. During the two-hour operation from 10 pm to midnight, authorities issued challans to 514 violators for offenses such as wrong-side driving, triple riding on motorcycles, and not wearing seat belts. The drive led to the collection of ₹7,46,350 in fines and the seizure of 72 vehicles.

Continued Traffic Checks to Ensure Road Safety

Officials have stated that similar surprise checks will continue in the coming weeks, urging motorists to adhere to traffic regulations to avoid penalties. Police emphasized that these operations aim to enhance road safety and prevent accidents, reinforcing their commitment to maintaining order on Pune’s streets.
