The Pune Police have announced strict guidelines for the upcoming assembly elections to ensure a peaceful and smooth conduct of the polls. Joint Commissioner of Police Ranjan Kumar Sharma has informed that the code of conduct will be strictly implemented in the 11 assembly constituencies under the Pune City Police Commissionerate.

These constituencies include Shirur, Purandar, Bhor, Vadgaon Sheri, Shivajinagar, Kothrud, Khadakwasla, Parvati, Hadapsar, Pune Cantonment, and Kasba. To maintain order, candidates have been restricted from using more than 10 vehicles during campaign rounds.

Additionally, convoys must maintain a distance of 200 meters or a 15-minute gap between them. Loudspeaker usage has also been regulated, with a ban on their use from 10 pm to 6 am.

Loudspeakers are also prohibited in school, college, or hospital premises. Campaign vehicles must stop before using loudspeakers, and a license is mandatory for loudspeaker use. Police station authorities will control loudspeaker use at fixed times.

Meetings and processions must be organized only after obtaining police permission. Details of the event, including time and location, must be submitted to the senior police inspector of the concerned police station.

These regulations will remain in effect until 12 midnight on November 25. Legal action will be taken against those violating the order, ensuring a fair and peaceful electoral process.

The Pune Police’s proactive measures aim to prevent disruptions and ensure the elections are conducted without incident. By enforcing these guidelines, the police hope to maintain public order and facilitate a smooth democratic process.
