Pune Police Seize Drugs Worth ₹84 Lakh, Luxury Cars, And Over 40 Kg Ganja In Twin Raids
Pune: In a significant crackdown on narcotics, Pune City Police’s Anti-Narcotics Cell confiscated drugs worth ₹84 lakh in two separate operations conducted on January 23 and January 24, 2025. The raids also led to the seizure of luxury cars, weighing scales, and mobile phones, as well as the arrest of four individuals.
First Raid In Koregaon Park
On January 23, acting on a tip-off, the Anti-Narcotics Cell, led by Inspector Ulhas Kadam, raided Clover Garden Society in Koregaon Park. Two suspects, Pranav Navin Ramnani (19) and Gaurav Manoj Dodheja (19), were apprehended with 136.64 grams of OG Kush cannabis and 2.78 grams of cocaine, valued at ₹67.08 lakh. Additionally, luxury vehicles—a Mini Cooper and a Grand Vitara—were confiscated along with two weighing scales and four mobile phones. A case under the NDPS Act was registered at Koregaon Park Police Station.

Second Raid In Loni Kalbhor
The following day, Inspector Sudarshan Gaikwad led another operation in Lonikalbhor, targeting drug traffickers from Rajasthan. Two suspects, Bharatkumar Danaji Rajpurhoit (35) and Ashusing Guman Singh, were arrested with 40.39 kg of marijuana worth ₹16.67 lakh. A case was registered at Lonikalbhor Police Station under the NDPS Act.
These operations highlight the growing scale of drug trafficking in Pune. Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar and Deputy Commissioner Ranjankumar Sharma emphasized that stringent measures will continue against the narcotics trade to safeguard public safety. The Pune Police remain committed to dismantling drug networks and ensuring those involved face the full force of the law.
