Pune: To locate missing children and women across the state, the police have launched a special drive, Operation Muskan-13, which will be conducted from December 1 to December 30. This initiative aims to trace minors and women over 18 years who have gone missing from various cities in Maharashtra.

As part of this operation, Pune police will establish dedicated teams within the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit, the Crime Branch, and all police stations. These teams will work in coordination with senior officers from all local police stations. Each team will include a senior police inspector, an assistant inspector, and three police personnel.

The mission focuses on finding missing individuals from Pune city and its surrounding areas. Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar emphasized that, while efforts to trace missing children and women are a continuous priority throughout the year, this targeted operation will enhance coordination and maximize resources during its month-long period.

“Operation Muskan-13 is a robust initiative to locate missing minors and women across the state. The Pune police have been directed to prioritize this mission and conduct intensive searches to reunite these individuals with their families,” said Commissioner Kumar.

Efforts to locate missing persons remain a year-round endeavor, with police departments working around the clock to address such cases. Operation Muskan aims to accelerate these efforts through a focused and coordinated statewide approach.
