Pune: Parge Nagar Residents Raise Civic Concerns In Meeting With Kondhwa Police Officials
Pune: A prostitution racket operating under the guise of a massage center in Kondhwa was exposed by the Anti-Human Trafficking and Anti-Trafficking Department of the Crime Branch. In a recent operation, police detained three women, including a foreign national, and registered a case against the center’s owner and manager.
The accused include the manager, a 21 year old resident Shiv Bhosale of NIBM Road, Kondhwa, and the owner, Nikhil Rajendra Naik (26, resident of Fursungi). Assistant Police Inspector Chhaya Jadhav lodged a formal complaint at the Kondhwa Police Station regarding the incident.
According to police reports, the illegal activities were taking place at the “Irene Spa” on NIBM Road. Acting on a tip-off, a police team sent a decoy customer to verify the claims. Upon confirmation, they raided the premises and uncovered the illicit activities.
During the raid, three women were rescued, and it was revealed that the manager had lured them into prostitution by promising financial incentives. The women were later sent to a rehabilitation center for further care.
Additionally, police seized mobile devices and other items worth ₹76,000 from the massage center. This operation was conducted under the guidance of Additional Commissioner of Police Shailesh Balkawade and Deputy Commissioner Nikhil Pingale.
