The residents of NIBM Road, Undri road in Kondhwa are raising their voices against the rampant public drinking places. Particularly, outside the Bramha Majestic society where drunkards often drink in public places making it insecure for local residents. These drunkards create a scene outside these shops. This growing menace has not only disrupted the peace of the area but also raised concerns about safety and security, especially given the proximity to a nearby religious place.

Residents have appealed to the Pune City Police Commissioner to take swift and decisive action to curb this issue. They have also urged the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) to address illegal encroachments and hawkers that contribute to the problem.

A resident of the Bramha Majestic Society stated with the condition of anonymity, “The situation has become intolerable. The presence of people drinking in public places creates an unsafe environment for families and children. We urge the authorities to step in and restore order.”

The issue has persisted despite repeated complaints from the residents. “We have reported this to the authorities several times, but the problem continues unabated. It’s affecting our quality of life,” said another resident.

Another resident of the area complained that action by local Police is temporary. These days prostitution has increased too on NIBM Mohammadwadi road. The calm residential area is soon getting disturbed by such illegal activities.

The residents are particularly concerned about the impact on the local community, which includes several schools and religious institutions. “It’s not just a nuisance; it’s a matter of public safety and respect for our community values,” added a local shop owner.

The residents hope that the combined efforts of the Pune City Police and PMC will bring an end to these disturbances and help reclaim the sanctity and safety of their neighborhood.
