A new phase of Pune’s CCTV project was launched, which now includes one of the most advanced surveillance systems in the country. The upgraded system uses artificial intelligence for crime detection, traffic control, and data analysis. Cameras will monitor deserted areas like Bopdev Ghat, and similar setups will be implemented on 22 hills across Pune in the next two years. Faulty cameras will be repaired within 24 hours. The system also includes public address units and 5 mobile command vehicles equipped with drones, capable of acting as mini control centers during emergencies.
