Pune: Traffic diversions announced for Somvati yatra at Jejuri on December 30
Pune, December 27: In preparation for the Somvati Yatra at Shri Khandoba Temple in Jejuri, Purandar Taluka, traffic diversions have been implemented to prevent congestion and maintain law and order. These changes were announced by Deputy Collector and District Magistrate Santosh Patil.
Key Traffic Changes:
1. Date and Timing: Heavy vehicles will be restricted from 5:00 AM to midnight on December 30, with light vehicles permitted access for the yatra. Â
2. Diversions:Â
- Vehicles from Satara, Phaltan, Lonand, and Baramati heading to Pune via Jejuri-Saswad will be redirected via Neera-Morgaon-Supa to Kedgaon on the Solapur Highway. Â
- Traffic from Pune to Baramati will be diverted through Belsar-Kothale-Nazare-Supe-Morgaon Road to reach Baramati or Phaltan. Â
- Baramati and Neera-bound vehicles heading to Pune via Jejuri will use Morgaon-Supa-Kedgaon routes on the Solapur Highway. Â
- Pune-bound vehicles heading to Phaltan or Satara will be rerouted via Saswad-Narayanpur-Kapurhol or Saswad-Veer Fata-Parinche-Veer-Wathar to Lonand. Â
Advisory:Â Â
Restrictions do not apply to light vehicles visiting the yatra. Citizens are requested to cooperate with the revised traffic arrangements.
