Pune: Trio On Bike Drag Youth For 300m To Snatch Cellphone

A daring robbery incident occurred on DP Road in Hadapsar on Friday, leaving a 22-year-old man injured. The victim, employed at a private company, was dragged for 300 meters by three robbers on a motorcycle, who snatched his mobile phone worth ₹15,000.

Assistant Inspector Arjun Kudale of Hadapsar police stated to the media that, the victim had a tight grip on his phone, but the suspects grabbed his hands and dragged him until they managed to snatch the device. The police are currently studying CCTV footage to track down the suspects .

The incident occurred around 4:30 pm when the victim was standing on the road, intending to buy tea. The three suspects, riding triple-seat on a motorcycle, were heading towards Hadapsar Gadital from Bhagirathinagar. After losing his grip on the phone, the victim fell onto the road.

The victim, who sustained leg injuries, was admitted to a hospital and filed a complaint with the Hadapsar police late on Saturday evening. The police are investigating the incident and searching for the suspects.
