Pune: Two Detained For Creating Panic On Vadgaon Bridge With Fake Pistol Used For Bursting Crackers
Two individuals were recently detained for creating panic on the Mumbai-Bengaluru bypass near Vadgaon Bridge by brandishing a fake pistol meant for bursting firecracker caps. The incident, which occurred during Diwali, led to alarm among the public.

After a video of the two men, Akshay Ankush Gaikwad (27) and Sunil Chandrakant Shinde (28), went viral on social media, the Sinhagad Road police launched a search. The men, riding a two-wheeler, were seen threatening and shouting at other drivers while displaying the pistol. When questioned, they revealed that the gun was actually a toy pistol intended for bursting Diwali cracker caps. Senior Police Inspector Raghvendra Singh Kshirsagar confirmed that charges were filed for using the fake pistol to cause public fear.
