Pune: Undri - Pisoli Residents Struggle As Roads Remain Blocked For Over A Year; Schools, Businesses Severely Affected
Pune: The residents and businesses in Casa Mia, in Pisoli are facing extreme hardships as all three access roads remain either blocked, dug up, or in a severely broken state for over a year. The situation has turned the area into a deadlock zone, with no sign of repair work or progress on the long-promised overbridge on the canal.
Major Concerns For Schools, Businesses, and Emergency Services
The affected area houses three schools (Sanskriti School, Boston World School, Hill Green School), two junior colleges, sports complexes, industries, and over 100 residences. With roads in an unmotorable condition, students, parents, and business owners are struggling daily. The situation is particularly alarming as:
- Emergency services like ambulances and fire trucks cannot enter or exit easily, putting the lives of senior citizens and disabled individuals at risk.
- Students face difficulties commuting, especially during exams.
- Businesses are suffering due to restricted access.
- Frequent accidents occur due to poor road conditions.
- Garbage collection trucks are unable to enter, worsening sanitation.
Allegations of Political Neglect & Extortion
Residents allege that local politicians and goons are extorting money and harassing businesses, while government officials remain indifferent. Despite multiple complaints, the local administration and Panchayat have ignored the issue, allegedly due to communal and legal disputes.
Residents urge authorities to immediately address the crisis and restore basic infrastructure, ensuring safety and normalcy in the area.
