Pune University Launches B.Sc. Blockchain Technology Program With 1-Year Apprenticeship And ₹9,000 Monthly Stipend
Pune, July 18, 2025: Savitribai Phule Pune University has launched a B.Sc. Blockchain Technology degree program under its Apprenticeship Embedded Degree Program (AEDP) from the academic year 2025–26. As part of the initiative, 60 students enrolled in the program will receive a one-year apprenticeship with a monthly stipend of ₹9,000.
Recognizing the need for industry-oriented learning in today’s technology-driven world, the program combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience. Students will work on real-world projects to gain expertise in blockchain systems, smart contract development, and network configuration, said Prof. Dr. Aditya Abhyankar, Head of the Technology Department.

The initiative aligns with the central government’s vision to empower India’s youth with industry-ready skills.
