Pune: Vegetable Vendor Severely Injured As Electric Poles Falls During Road Work On Datta Mandir Road In Wakad

A handcart vendor sustained severe injuries when an electric pole collapsed onto his head during road widening operations on Datta Mandir Road in Mhatoba Nagar, Wakad. He has been taken to a nearby private hospital for further medical care. CCTV footage reveals that the vendor was engaged in a conversation with a customer, selling bananas, when the pole fell on him. He has suffered significant injuries, and his cart has also been damaged.
Local residents have claimed that the accident resulted from the contractor’s gross negligence in removing the electric poles. They are calling for legal action to be taken against the contractor involved in this incident.
