Pune: Young Passenger Dies After Being Hit by ST Bus at Swargate Station
Pune: A tragic accident occurred at the Swargate ST bus station premises where a young passenger lost his life after being struck by a bus. A case has been filed against the ST bus driver in this regard. The deceased has been identified as Praveen Balaji Koka (age 28), a resident of Hyderabad, Telangana. Amar Chakral (age 44), a resident of Bibvewadi, filed the complaint at the Swargate Police Station, leading to a case against the bus driver.
According to police, Praveen Koka worked in the Mohol area of Solapur district. He had come to visit his aunt in Bibvewadi for Diwali. Around 8 a.m. on Friday, he arrived at the Swargate bus station on a bus from Solapur. As he was about to leave the station, he was hit by an ST bus near the station entrance. Severely injured in the accident, Praveen was rushed to the hospital, but he was declared dead before receiving treatment. Following the incident, a case was filed against the bus driver for reckless driving, leading to the passenger’s death. Police Sub-Inspector B.P. Shirsat is investigating the case.
