Pune, December 5, 2024: Pune Crime Branch conducted a major raid in Koregaon Park, targeting stores selling counterfeit branded clothing and accessories. Goods worth ₹35,31,051 bearing fake labels of brands like LACOSTE, UNDER ARMOUR, POLO, and GANT were seized.

Acting on information about the sale of counterfeit goods in the city, the operation was led by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Nikhil Pingale under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Ganesh Ingle. A team from Crime Branch Unit 2, along with official brand representatives, identified two stores: InCloth on North Road and DeNovo Cloth Stores on the main road of Koregaon Park.

During the raid on December 4, 2024, fake branded items were confiscated, and three individuals, including shop owners Monish Lilram Akhtarai (23) and Sonu Ram Loknadan (26), were arrested. A case has been registered under Sections 63 and 65 of the Copyright Act, 1957, at Koregaon Park Police Station.

The operation was carried out under the guidance of Additional Commissioner Shailesh Balkawde and involved multiple officers and personnel from Unit 2 of the Crime Branch.
